| | | Jessie Beimers, age 92, of Sibley, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at the Country View Manor in Sibley.
Memorial services will be Friday, December 14, 2007, at 11:00 A.M. at the Christian Reformed Church in Sibley. Rev. Roger Bouwman officiating.
Burial will be Friday, at 10:00 A.M. at the Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley, prior to the Memorial Service.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 13, from 2:30 to 9:00 P.M. with the family present from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Andringa Funeral Home in Sibley.
Jessie Beimers was born on January 1, 1915, in Sanborn, Iowa. She was the daughter of Jake and Gertrude (Elgersma) Haagsma. She lived her youth in Sanborn, where she attended a country school.
She was united in marriage to Paul Beimers of Hospers, IA, on July 20, 1937, in Bellflower, California. They lived in Bellflower, until moving to Hospers, Iowa, and then to Melvin, Iowa, and in 1949, they moved to Sibley, Iowa, where they continued to live. Jessie worked at Marguerites in Sibley, and Paul and Jessie owned and operated the Northside Sales Café in Sibley, for over 40 years. Paul passed away on July 28, 1992.
Jessie was a member of the Christian Reformed Church in Sibley, where she was a member of the Ruth Society.
She entered the Country View Manor on December 18, 2002, where she passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2007.
Those left to cherish her memories are her son and daughter-in-law: Larry and Linda Beimers of Archer, IA; her daughter and son-in-law: Elaine and Lee Ten Napel of Sibley, IA; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sister: Birdie Dummett of Sanborn, IA; sister-in-law: Fanny Haagsma of Sheldon, IA; and angels of mercy at Country View Manor.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Paul; two grandsons: Barry and Paul Beimers; one great-grandson: Larry Thomas; her parents; two brothers: Dick and Jake “Shortie” Haagsma.
