| | | Loretta Kor, age 82, of Sibley, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at the Country View Manor in Sibley.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 14, 2009, at 10:00 A.M. at the Andringa Funeral Home in Sibley. Rev. Douglas Harding officiating.
Burial in the Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley.
Visitation will be Friday, February 13, from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. at the Andringa Funeral Home in Sibley.
Loretta Kor was born on March 31, 1926, in Keokuk, Iowa. She was the daughter of Harold and Veronica (Cichanski) Walbran. She lived her youth on a farm and attended a country school in Viola Township, Osceola County, Iowa.
She was united in marriage to Hiko Kor of Little Rock, Iowa, on December 5, 1942, in Worthington, Minnesota. They lived in Sibley, Iowa. Hiko passed away on April 7, 1995.
Loretta was a former member of the United Methodist Church in Sibley.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed visiting with family.
Loretta moved to the Country View Manor in 1998.
She passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at the Country View Manor in Sibley.
Those left to cherish her memories are her children: Veronica and Alfred Engelkes of Sibley, IA, Martha and Gordon Wasmund of Sibley, IA, Jans Kor of Clarinda, IA; two grandchildren: Barbara Wasmund and James Wasmund; six sisters: Goldie Culver of Apple Valley, MN, Margaret (Franklin) Heibult of Sheldon, IA, Beverly Garrett of Memphis, MO, Priscilla Cokley of Astoria, OR, Kay Mollenhour of Owatonna, MN, Dorothy Larson of Spokane, WA; one brother: Robert Walbran of Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Hiko; two brothers: Art and Howard; three sisters: Alice, Gladys, and Arlene.
