| | | Morgan Jarel Belt, 82, of Widen, entered into rest Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, WV.
Born on September 24, 1925, in Clay County, he was the son of the late Oscar Bayward and Nona Alice Belt. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Basil, sister, Daphene Belt, and nephew, Charles Belt.
He was a factory worker in the steel industry, and a Christian.
Survivors include his daughter, Diana Welton of Ashtabula, OH; sisters, Imogene Jule of Westerville, OH and Nell Jean Smith of Bomont; grandchildren, Terry and Lesia; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Julia.
A graveside service will be held at 5 pm Friday, August 29, 2008, at the Walnut Grove Cemetery, Strange Creek, with Minister Richard Talbot officiating.
Friends and family may gather at the cemetery from 4 to 5 to pay their last respects.
Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, is in charge of arrangements.
