| | | Bessie Braley, 81, of Ivydale, WV, died September 22, 2008, in Lakeville, OH.
Born on September 15, 1927, in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William Scott and Ora J. Legg. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sons, Allen Scott, Charles K. and Kevin Scott Braley; brothers, James, Neal, Frank, and Lawrence Legg; sister, Edith Gratz.
She was retired from General Motors at the Parma Ohio plant.
Survivors include her sons, Michael W. Braley of Lakeville, OH, James P. Braley of Jacobsburg, OH; daughter, Susan Knoll of Grafton, OH; brothers, Denver Legg of McConnelsville, OH, Stanley Legg of Elyria, OH, Norman Legg of Elyria, OH; sisters, Eleanor Duffield of Duck, Clarice Pettit of Duck, and Ruth Hardway of Duck; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; nephew, Brian Legg of Cleveland, OH; several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11 am Friday, September 26, 2008, at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, with Minister Danny Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Legg Cemetery, Harrison.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
