Rev. James Alfred “Jim” Blankenship Sr. 67, of Maysel, entered into rest Monday, March 2, 2009.
Born November 21, 1941 in Maysel, he was the son of the late Giles and Sobina (Mullins) Blankenship.
Jim was a retired Mechanic for Fola Coal Company and a member and former Pastor of Big Otter Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Blankenship of Maysel; son, James A Blankenship Jr., of Maysel, WV; daughter, Jami Blankenship of Carlisle, PA; grandchildren, Vanessa, Kyle, Allison, Emily, and Matthew.
There will be no services.
Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, is in charge of arrangements.
