| | | Esta Jane Bird, 87, of Procious, entered into rest September 14, 2009 at her home.
Born March 23, 1922, in Widen, she was the daughter of the late Worick and Lula Ramsey. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers Russell, Seth, Willie, Bobby, sisters Sarah Elizabeth Ferrell, and Etta Jean Ramsey.
She was a member of the Horners Fork Baptist Church.
Esta is survived by her husband Robert T. Bird of Procious, step-children Richard Bird and Roberta of Elkview, Vickey Bird of Charlotte, NC, Argatha Preast and Gary of Lakeland Fl, and Nickey Bird and Juanita of Clendenin; sister-in- law, Joyce Ramsey of Warsaw MO; many step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Horners Fork Baptist Church, Procious, with Minister Joe Dawson and Minister Nickey Bird officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Wallback.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm Wednesday, September 16, at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice Care 1606 Kanawha Blvd. W., Charleston WV 25312.
