| | | Kathryn Dawn Adkins, 24, and Rachel Elizabeth Adkins, 3, both of Maysel, died Tuesday, March 30, 2004, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Route 4 at Maysel.
Kathryn was born on August 5, 1979, in Charleston to Danny and Dawn Fitzwater of Maysel. She was a 1997 graduate of Clay County High School, a legal assistant for Bowls, Rice, McDavid, Graff, and Love, and a member of Fairview Baptist Temple.
She is survived by her husband, Brien Adkins of Maysel; parents, Danny and Dawn Fitzwater of Maysel; sisters, Shawna Ann (Juston)Taylor of Maysel, and Angela Brooke Fitzwater and her fiance, Gregory Brown of Maysel; mother- and father-in-law, Donvil and Dorma Adkins of Dog Run; sister-in-law, Amy Legg of Dog Run; brother-in-law, Kevin Adkins of Dog Run; paternal grandparents, Lambert and Wilma Fitzwater of Lizemores; maternal step-grandfather, Don Davisson of Orrville, OH; nieces, Kaitlyn Legg, Tasha Adkins, Kelsie Adkins, and Kayla Adkins; nephews, Jared Legg and Aiden Joel Taylor.
Rachel was born on Nov. 20, 2000, in Charleston.
She is survived by her father, Brien; her maternal grandparents, Danny and Dawn Fitzwater; her paternal grandparents, Donvil and Dorma Adkins; paternal great-grandparents, Kenneth and Maxine O'Brien of Maysel; Tressie Adkins of Dog Run; maternal great-grandparents, Lambert and Wilma Fitzwater, maternal great-step-grandfather, Don Davisson; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral service will be l pm Friday, April 2, 2004, at Carl Wilson Funeral Home, Clay, with Minister John Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Mullins Cemetery, Maysel.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
