Carl Warren Baker, 70, of Clay County, WV, entered into rest on November 14, 2004. He had resided in Mingo County for the past eight years.
He was born on July 6, 1934, at Widen, WV, to the late Carl and Opal Baker.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Paul Baker.
He was a retired coal miner, an veteran of the US Army, and of the Pentecostal Faith.
He is survived by his sons, Rodd Allen Baker of Richmond, VA, and Carl Robert Baker of Frederick, MD; brother, Gary Baker of Bentree; 4 grandchildren.
Carl will be remembered as a friend and neighbor to many. He was a regular volunteer at Big Laurel Learning Center for its various programs.
Funeral service will be 1 pm Friday, November 19, 2004, at Carl Wilson Funeral Home, Clay. Burial will follow in Clay Memorial Gardens, Clay.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
