| | | Patrick Harold Adkins, 66, of Clay, entered into rest March 9, 2006, at his home.
Born on April 10, 1939, in Bentree, he was the son of the late Elvin and Evelyn Adkins. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Delano Adkins.
He was a retired coal miner from Majestic Mining, a member of Pleasant Dale Baptist Church, and an Army Veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Pearly Adkins of Clay; sons, Bruce, Glen, and Brian Adkins, all of Clay and Gary Adkins of Summersville; brothers, Darrell and Roy Adkins of Clay, and Jerry Adkins of Birch River; sisters, Rosalee Harlow of Hanshaw, WV; step-mother, Deloris Adkins of Clay; half brothers, Billy and Richard Adkins of Clay, and Eddy Adkins of Loudinville, OH; half sister, Lisa Adkins of Gilbert, WV; step-sisters, Janet McGlothlin of Clay and Janie Grosjean of Fredericksburg, OH; step brother, Roy Wood of Clay; 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 pm Sunday, March 12, 2006, at New Antioch Church, Dog Run, with Minister Gary Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the Adkins Cemetery, Dog Run. There will be no visitation.
Carl Wilson Funeral Home, Clay, is in charge of arrangements.
