| | | Mary Daphene Belt, 84, of Widen, WV, passed from this life to a better one on June 15, 2007, leaving behind her testimony that all was well with her soul.
Daphene was born at Hartland, WV, on September 26, 1922, the eldest daughter of Oscar and Nona Belt. In addition to her parents, Daphene was preceded in death by a brother, Basil Belt.
Daphene leaves behind two sons, Larry Santacrose of Romeo, MI and William Santacrose of Atlantic Beach, FL; three grandsons, Larry Santacrose, Jr. and Eugene Santacrose, both of Romeo, MI and Eric Santacrose of Jacksonville Beach, FL; two sisters, Nell Smith of Bomont, WV and Emojean Jule of Westerville, OH; and one brother, Jarel Belt of Widen. She also has several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1 pm Sunday, June 17, 2007, at the Church of God at Ovapa, WV, with Pastor Richard Talbot officiating. Burial will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery on Wilson Ridge.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm on Saturday, June 16th at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay.
