Rufus Wayne Corkey Lilley, Jr., 72 of Morrilton, Arkansas passed away, Monday, September 7, 2009 at St. Anthonys in Morrilton. He was born February 14, 1937 to Rufus Wayne Lilley, Sr. and Lillian Leon Charton Lilley in Morrilton, Arkansas. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in 1955. Corkey will best be remembered as a paint contractor for more than fify years. He was involved over the years in Ducks Unlimited and Jaycees of Morrilton. He loved spending time with his family and friends and was always ready for a hunting or fishing trip.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Madge King Lilley of Morrilton, two sons, Wayne Lilley of Morrilton and Tom and Debbie Lilley of Conway; one daughter, Angela and Bentley Pew of Conway; two brothers, Larry Kay and Toni Lilley of Fayetteville and Garry Ray Lilley of Morrilton; seven grandchildren, Amber and Trevor Lilley, Jennifer and Joshua Lilley; Samie, Austin and Harrison Pew. He was loved by many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Allen Leon Lilley.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 10th at First Baptist Church, 200 Church Street, Morrilton, Arkansas with Brother Bill Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Morrilton. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9th at Harris Funeral Home, 118 South Moose Street, Morrilton, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
