Hershel Thomas Bryant Sr., age 85, of Center Ridge, Arkansas, entered into eternal rest Monday, September 14, 2009. He was born December 16, 1923, in Center Ridge, Arkansas, a son of Orville Thomas Bryant and Judith Bradley Bryant. He was a World War II Marine Corps. Veteran retired rural Letter Carrier, Carpenter, and farmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife Anna Lorene Bryant, two daughters, Marion Ann Bryant and Betty Lee Anders; one son, Charles Wayne Bryant; three grandchildren, Tammy Barnes, Robert Wayne Bryant, and Charles Wayne Bryant Jr.; four brothers, H.V., Theo, and Landon Bryant, as well as an infant brother.
Survivors include three sons, William Bryant and wife Barbara, Hershel Bryant Jr., Odus Lynn Bryant and wife Terry all of Center Ridge; four daughters, Sue Barnes and husband Cecil of Center Ridge, Patricia Ferricher of Searcy, Mary Jean Paladino and husband Nathan of Center Ridge, and Karen Paladino of Center Ridge; one son-in-law, David Anders; twenty-five grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 17, 2009, at Center Ridge Church of Christ. Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, at the funeral home.
