| | | Jim (James P.) Cole, age 86, of the Birdtown Community passed away Monday, October 5, 2009. He was born September 8, 1923, in the Cedar Creek Community, a son of Terry Cole and Lillie Burks Cole. He was a carpenter, farmer, and member of Cedar Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Faye (Harrington)Cole; a daughter, Brenda (David) Huddleston; granddaughter, Teresa (Shannon) Scroggins; three great-grandsons, Ben, Timothy, and Wesley Scroggins; twin sister, Velma Jones all of the Birdtown Community. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ottis, Romie, and Sam Cole.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2009, at the Harris Chapel with Bro. B.C. Hutson officiating. Burial will be at Kilgore Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends an hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be L.G. Bryant, Harold Williams, Shannon Scroggins, David E. Jones, Jimmy D. Jones, and Chris Jones.
