| | | Wayne E. “Chick” Blair, age 76, of Cherry Hill, went to be in the arms of his Lord, Tuesday, November 3, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Iona Scott Blair. He was born October 24, 1933 in Hollis, Arkansas a son of the late Joe Blair and Vina Miller Blair. Mr. Blair was also a Marine Corps veteran, a retired heavy equipment operator, and a member of Valley Home Missionary Baptist Church in Hollis, Arkansas.
Survivors include his children, Steve Blair and wife Alice of Cherry Hill, Rhonda Pearce and husband Carl of Conway, Toni Williams and husband Mike of Bigelow, Scott Blair and wife Amy of Cherry Hill, and Tracy Starks and husband Brody of Bigelow; grandchildren, Berry Blair, Zandy(Jeremy) Ferguson, Amber Pearce, Eli Pearce; Stephanie Blair and Brittany DuVall, Blair, Rance, Alex, Tucker, and Savannah Williams, and Bailey and Skyler Blair, Jenna and Briley Starks, six great-grandchildren, Mary Claire, Joel and Eliza Blair, Jade and Creedence Ferguson and Gavin Pearce.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday November 7, 2009, at Cherry Hill Cemetery with Rick Moss and Will Doughty officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 6th at the funeral home in Perryville. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Perryville.
