| | | Joseph Leo Summers Sr., age 79, of Perry, Arkansas, passed away Monday, November 2, 2009. He was born July 6, 1930, in Perry, Arkansas, a son of Oscar Charles Summers and Lizzie Ellen Rudkin Summers. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Perry and Morrilton Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife Oleva Christine Childress Summers of Perry; three sons, Larry Summers of Phoenix, Arizona, Charles Summers of Mountain Home, and Joe Summers and wife Sue of Tempe, Arizona; two sisters, Rada Sue Eubanks and Mary Ann Summers both of Perry; several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother Glenn Summers.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2009, at the Harris Chapel with Bro. Joel Summers officiating. Private services will follow at a later date. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
