MAKE THE CHOICE THAT''S RIGHT FOR YOU!
Making any kind of arrangements involves many choices and decisions. It is helpful to carefully consider all the options and take the time to ask questions before making a final decision about such an important and irreversible event. L. Harold Poole Funeral Service and Crematory Funeral Directors are there to make the experience as emotionally satisfying for you as possible. Making an informed choice when it comes to cremation can help assure peace of mind for everyone involved.
Cremation is the technical heating process that reduces human remains to bone fragments. This reduction takes place over a number of hours through heat and evaporation.
Cremation is nothing more than a final form of disposition. You have many memorialization options available to you. Some of those options include, however are not limited to:
TRADITIONAL FUNERAL SERVICE
You may elect to have a traditional funeral visitation and service with the deceased body present for public or private viewing by family and friends. The casket used can be rented or a specially designed cremation casket suitable for visitation and viewing. We offer a wide variety of cremation caskets.
MEMORIAL SERVICE
A memorial service is one in which the body of the deceased is not present at the service. An urn with cremated remains placed inside is most often used, accompanied by pictures and/or personal mementos of the deceased. Services can take place at the funeral home, a church, graveside or any other appropriate location. Many times a visitation (private or public) follows the memorial service.
DIRECT CREMATION
The option of direct cremation with no visitation, viewing, public or private memorial service of any kind is also available and is considered by some to be very economical.
