| | | Edna Linda Ackman, 58, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away at 11:56 AM, Monday, January 2nd, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati, OH. Edna was born in Cincinnati, OH on February 5, 1953, a daughter of the late Edna Mae (Bitzer) and Clifford Brandhorst. She was a homemaker and attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aurora, IN. Edna enjoyed reading, going to yard sales and shopping at Family Dollar. Most of her time was focused on her grandchildren. In April of 1980 she married Billy Ray Ackman, Sr. who survives her.
In addition to her husband Billy, Edna is survived by;
nine daughters, Renee' Ackman, of Cincinnati, OH; Farrah` Ritchie, of Sommerset, KY; Beverly McGlasson (Rob), of Cincinnati, OH; Nickie Hampton (David), of Cincinnati, OH; Gloria Ackman, of Louisville, KY; Juanita Ackman, of Cincinnati, OH; Melissa Ackman, of Middletown, OH; Deborah Ackman, of Newport, KY; Vickie Ackman, of Dayton, OH; six sons James Ackman, of Rising Sun, IN; Michael Ackman (Laura), of Rising Sun, IN; Grant Ackman (Jennifer), of Cincinnati, OH; Billy Ray Ackman, Jr. (Marie), of New Trenton, IN; Donald Ackman, of Cincinnati, OH; Rickie Ackman, of Hebron, KY; by 36 grandchildren and by several great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Nancy Wells, of LaBelle, FL and Tina Dunn of Tampa, FL; two brothers, Raymond Stentz, of Sunman, IN and Clifford Brandhorst, of Tampa, FL; Mrs. Ackman is preceded in death by her parents, and by a sister, Lois Stentz.
Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Aurora, IN, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 5th, with Father Stephen Donahue officiating. Friends are invited to call Wednesday 5-8 PM. at Markland Funeral Home. Family request donations to Ohio County Animal Shelter. Donations can be sent in care of Markland Funeral Home.
