| | | Richard Alan Mondary, 54, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away at 12:25 PM, Tuesday, June 12th, at Dearborn County Hospital, Lawrenceburg, IN. Richie was born in Milan, IN on June 11, 1958, a son of June Ann (Kelly) Mondary and Victor E. Mondary, Sr. He attended Rising Sun High School. Richie served his country in the U.S. Marines as a Pvt. He worked as a mechanic and was a partner in Rt. 56 Motorcycles in Rising Sun, IN. Richie had also worked as a Union Laborer. He was a member of the Rising Sun American Legion and the American Legion Riders. Richie loved his dogs, fishing, hunting and riding his motorcycle. On June 19, 1982 on the Rising Sun river front he married Deborah (Frey) Mondary who survives him.
In addition to his wife Debbie, Richie is survived by a son, Jason Mondary, of Bethel, OH; his mother, June Mondary of Rising Sun, IN; a sister, Barb (Greg) Anderson, of Rising Sun, IN; eight brothers, Victor "Sandy" (Sue) Mondary, of Brownsburg, IN; Tony (Fran) Mondary, of Rising Sun, IN; Ronnie (Rosie) Mondary, of Moores Hill, IN; Mike (Lydia) Mondary, of Rising Sun, IN; Dee Mondary, of Rising Sun, IN; Bruce (Kim) Mondary, of Rising Sun, IN; Raymond (Amanda) Mondary, of Rising Sun, IN; Renny Mondary, of Rising Sun, IN; father and mother-in-law, Carl& Coralee Frey of Cedar Grove, IN; sister-in-law, Peggy Abney(John) of Cedar Grove, IN; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Funeral Service at Markland Funeral Home, Rising Sun, IN, at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 16th, with Br. Greg Matthew officiating. Friends are invited to call Saturday 11 AM - 2 PM. at Markland Funeral Home. Interment at Cedar Hedge Cemetery, Rising Sun, IN. Memorial donations may be made to the Family or The Leukemia Society.
