| | | Graveside services for Robert E. Stubbs, 70, of Hale Center, TX were held at 10:30 am Saturday, September 26, 2009, in the Hale Center Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Cameron officiating. Services were under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Hale Center, TX.
Mr. Stubbs died at his residence on Thursday, September 23, 2009. He was born January 21, 1939 in Gray County, TX to Gertrude and Cecil Stubbs. He graduated from Pampa High School and Amarillo College. He married Helena Ann McCaskill on September 20, 1964 in Pampa, TX. He served in the United States Navy from 1961 until 1967 and had worked as a registered nurse and house supervisor at Pampa Regional Medical Center and as a house supervisor at Covenant Hospital in Plainview, TX. He also was a farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Helena of Hale Center, TX, 3 daughters, Cynthia Stubbs, Deborah Henson both of Lefors, TX and Melissa Stubbs of Houston, TX, 6 grandchildren and 1 brother, Earl Eugene Stubbs of Pampa, TX. He is preceded by his parents and a sister, Elizabeth Houdashell.
