Thelma Ann Propst McGaugh was born August 31, 1924 to J. A and Bereneice (Miller) Propst. She married E. L. "Mutt" McGaugh on December 18 in Post, TX. Following the war they settled in the Lakeview and Abernathy, TX areas, and she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Abernathy.
She is survived by her son, Jackie McGaugh and his wife Jan of Abernathy, TX, 2 granddaughters, Melody Nicholson and her husband Dwayne of Little Elm, TX and Alysha Hill and her husband Jonathan of Wolfforth, TX, 2 great grandchildren, Braxton Nicholson and Cambrie Hill. She is also survived by 3 sisters, Wanda Markham of Arlington, TX, Dorrace Huff of Woodland, CA and Jeneice Jenkins of Las Cruces, NM and a sister-in-law, Reba Propst of Post, TX.
The family preference to food and flowers, would be to send memorials to the Texas Boys Ranch, Rt. 7, Box 200, Lubbock, TX 79401.
Private family graveside services will be conducted by Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX.
