Graveside services for Willie Lee "Bill" McBeth were held at 2:00 pm Friday, October 16, 2009, in the Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Hale Center, TX.

Mrs. McBeth died Tuesday, October 13, 2009 in Plainview, TX.

She was born February 25, 1908 in Rochester, TX to Wilson and Lilly Brown. She married James Sexton McBeth on January 1, 1927 in Rochester, TX. They farmed in the Rochester, Obrian and Knox City areas until moving to Hale Center in 1952, where they continued farming.

Bill was active in the Order of the Eastern Star, bridge clubs and bowling leagues. She loved to tell that she drove 83 years without a ticket or a wreck.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, James Herald and Kenneth and one great grandson, Matthew Mericle.

She is survived by 2 sons, Bobby McBeth and wife Sue of Plainview, TX and David McBeth and wife Judy of New Orleans, LA, one sister, Mabel Wyatt of Victoria, TX, 8 grandchildren and numberous great and great great grandchildren.
