Robert E. Robinson, 90, of Linton, IN, passed to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Greene County General Hospital. He was born to Naomi (Wallace) and Hamlet Robinson in Washington, Indiana. He married Virginia May and years after her passing, he married Mary Ann Priest.

Robert served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and retired from Moorman Feeds in 1985.

He leaves behind his wife, Mary Ann Robinson of Linton; one daughter, Sherry (Larry) Huff of Greensburg; two granddaughters, Jennica and Katera; one great-grandson and one brother Edwin (Doris) Robinson of Washington.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Virginia, two daughters, Sharon and Karen, one sister, Mary Ellen Fithian and one brother, Hershel Robinson.

The family has requested memorial contributions to be made to the Linton Assembly of God in Robert’s name.

Friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Visitation will continue on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 9:00 AM at the Linton Assembly of God until the hour of service. The funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 1, 2009, at the Linton Assembly of God with Rev. David Atkins officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Washington, IN with Military Graveside Rites given.
