| | | Larry Schuck, age 70, of rural Sibley, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2008, at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 13, 2008, at 10:30 A.M. at the First Presbyterian Church in Sibley. Rev. Terry Simm officiating.
Burial in the Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 12, from 3:00 to 9:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. at the Andringa Funeral Home in Sibley.
Larry L. Schuck was born on November 30, 1937, in rural Little Rock, Iowa. He was the son of Harvey and Marie L. (Brueggeman) Schuck. He lived his youth in rural Sibley, Iowa, where he attended a country school. He served in the Iowa National Guard for two years.
He was united in marriage to Helen Doreen Elbers of Steen, Minnesota, on April 21, 1961, in Steen. They lived in rural Sibley, where they farmed.
Larry had attended the Lighthouse Alliance Church in Ocheyedan, Iowa. He enjoyed listening to T.V. Evangelist Billy Graham and the John Hagge Ministries.
Larry enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting, camping and traveling with his wife, two sons, daughter and grandchildren. His family was his life.
Larry and Helen celebrated 46 years of marriage on April 21, 2007. They prayed together before going to bed, every evening for 46 years.
Larry passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2008, at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley, Iowa.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Helen; his children: Terrance Schuck of Little Rock, IA, Timothy Schuck of Sioux Falls, SD, Shari and Ron Van Engen of Sibley, IA; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Jean De Vries.
