Don is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Arkansas and Oklahoma. He has served as manager of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs since 1991. Don is also the Area Manager for Northwest Arkansas Backstrom-Pyeatte's Funeral Homes. He has 25 years of experience in the funeral industry. He graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service where he was a member of the academic fraternity.
Don served as the president of the Arkansas Board of Burial Associations and is currently serving on the Arkansas Funeral Directors Association Board.
Derek a.k.a. "Cherokee or the Chief" is a licensed funeral director since 2000 and received his embalmer's licensed in 2004, after graduating from University of Arkansas Community College in Hope, Arkansas, where he was one of the top students in his class. While attending Mortuary College, Derek worked for Shackelford Funeral Home in Prescott. He is a member of the Cherokee Tribe, he served as 2007 Sec/Treas Northwest Arkansas Funeral Assoc, 2008 Vice President of NWAFDA and is currently serving as the 2009 President of NWAFDA. He is married to Johnna Lee Hilderbrand and has two sons, Ian and Brenton.
Jennifer is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Arkansas. She is a graduate of Arkansas State University, Mountain Home, Arkansas, with a degree in Funeral Science. While attending Mortuary College she served her apprenticeship with Roller Funeral Home in Mountain Home. She grew up in the Northwest area, and after graduating Bentonville High School in 1996, she entered the United States Navy. She served eight years in the Navy, as an aviation storekeeper. During her military service she earned an Associate degree at University of Maryland, Rota, Spain. She has traveled to Hong Kong, Australia, Diego Garcia, the Middle East, France, Southern Spain, and Hawaii. She is a Lifetime Member of Girl Scouts of America, enjoys knitting, scrapbooking, and is the aunt of Tabitha and Logan Lantz. Jennifer is proud to be back home in Northwest Arkansas. She looks forward to finding ways to serve the area.
Bill is a licensed funeral director and has been with Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home, Siloam Springs for 22 years. He got his start by digging graves for Pete Pyeatte and the City of Siloam Springs. He has been a licensed funeral director since 1993. Bill owns his own excavation company and still digs the graves and engraves death dates and is a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Siloam Springs where he plays the drums in the church band. He has been married to his wife Patsy Collette for 33 years, they have 2 daughters and 4 grandsons.
Jon is a licensed funeral director and embalmer, and has his Arkansas insurance license to assist families with their pre-arranging funeral needs. After graduating from Siloam Springs High School in 1998, he attended the University of Arkansas and Arkansas State University-Mountain Home, earning a degree in Funeral Science. Jon and his wife Tiffany, started and operate "Hannah's HOPE", a non-profit pediatric cancer foundation. Hannah’s Hope assists families with their non- medical life necessity financial needs. He has a passion for helping and being supportive to those in need, and feels privileged to be able to serve his hometown and surrounding area. He has two boys, Jackson and Jaydon, and enjoys spending time with his family.
