| | | Emma Mae Baute, 92, of Fairington Court died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at Columbus Regional Hospital emergency room.
Mrs. Baute was a former caregiver and member of Faith Lutheran Church, Sewing Circle and Bartholomew County Senior Center. She enjoyed playing cards.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street, with the Rev. Todd Riordan officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church Building Fund.

Born in Indianapolis on Sept. 13, 1914, Mrs. Baute was the daughter of James and Elizabeth Isaacs Smith. She married Clifford C. Baute on Nov. 23, 1940.
Survivors include a son, Charles H. (Judith) Baute of Jacksonville, Fla.; grandchildren, Carla (Rick) Bordin and Anne (James) McMains; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on July 6, 1974; a daughter; and several brothers and sisters.
