| | | Marie S. Baute, 91, of Columbus died at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Miss Baute retired in 1978 from Arvin Industries where she had worked for 29 years. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and formerly
was involved with Asbury United Methodist Women.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Al Styron officiating. Calling will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana or Asbury United Methodist Church.

Miss Baute was born in Jackson County Dec. 22, 1915, the daughter of Henry and Minnie Schnitker Baute.
She is survived by a sister, Helen Baute of Columbus; 17 nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ed, Carl, Orville “Hook” and Raymond “Shine” Baute; and sisters, Wilma Loop and Ruth Bode.
