| | | Darrell L. Barnett, 53, of East 25th Street died at 2:05 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2008, at the Columbus Regional Hospital Emergency Room.
D a r re l l was a machinist at C re a t i ve Tool & Machining. He was a race car enthusiast and enjoyed riding four wheelers and restoring vehicles and was known for his ability to fix anything.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street, with the Rev. Mitchell J. Coggin offi ciating. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 12:30 p.m. to service time Wednesday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the donor’s choice of charities.

Born in Columbus October 10, 1954, Darrell was the son of Earl T. and Irene Spiker Barnett. He married Jean A. Beaman March 19, 1976.
Survivors include his wife; his mother, of Columbus; children, Kenny Barnett and Kimberly (Roger) Michaels, both of Columbus; grandchildren, Cole, Tyler, Tayler, Austyn, Kendra and Ethan; sisters, Wilma (Roger) Perry of Columbus and Cathy (Billy) Clem of Edinburgh; brothers, Donald Barnett of Elizabethtown and David (Sherry) Barnett of Columbus and several nieces and nephews.
Darrell was preceded in death by his father; and a sister, Anita West.
