| | | Jean Plummer Hornbeck, 88, of Home Avenue died at 2 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2008, at Silver Oaks Health Campus.
Mrs. Hornbeck was a homemaker and worked at the former Roviar Shirt Factory. She was a member of Gnaw Bone Wesleyan Church and enjoyed going to church, quilting , gardening and raising houseplants.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Guy Armstrong offi ciating. Calling will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday and from noon until service time Monday. Burial will be at Mount Healthy Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the missionary fund at Gnaw Bone Wesleyan Church.

Born in Waymansville April 1, 1920, Mrs. Hornbeck was the daughter of Ray and Bertha Snyder Plummer. She married Harold Hornbeck in 1939.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth W. (Judy) Hornbeck of Greensburg; a daughter, Joyce (Harold) Ward of Nashville; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hornbeck was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1963; and an infant sister, Eva Mae Plummer.
