Helen L. Anderson, 87, of Union Street died at 2:02 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.
Mrs. Anderson retired from Cummins Engine Company and was a member of Garden City Church of Christ.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday. Entombment will be at Garland Brook Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be made to Garden City Church of Christ or to the donor's choice of charities.

Born in Ohio Jan. 16, 1921, Mrs. Anderson was the daughter of Everett and Mabel Mitchell Fields. She married Malcolm L. Anderson Oct. 30, 1954.
Survivors include Brenda Anderson O'Brien, whom she considered her daughter; sisters, Marciel Shull of Wapakoneta, Ohio, and Beulah Gray of Anderson; sons, James and LaVern Anderson, both of Michigan; grandchildren, Louise Anderson, James Anderson Jr., Lesley Gentry, Rhonda Becker and Scott Svetlick; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Sept. 17, 2003; three brothers; and two sisters.
