Irvin F. Becker, 87, of Franklin, formerly of Columbus, died at 12 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2009, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Mr. Becker retired from Cummins Engine Company where he worked 33 years. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, St. John's Masonic Lodge No. 20, Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite, York Rite and Columbus Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Al Styron Jr. officiating. Calling will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday and from noon until service time Monday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
A Masonic service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday by St. John's Masonic Lodge at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church or Indiana Masonic Foundation.

Born in Greensburg Dec. 9, 1921, Mr. Becker was the son of Howard and Rosa Biddle Becker. He married Catherine M. Romine Jan. 4, 1942.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Roselyn (Dennis) Johnston of Columbus; and grandsons, Mark Johnston and Todd (Beth) Johnston.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Thelma Mozingo and Helen Rosebrock; and a son, David Becker.
