|Eldon Loyd Werntz, 74, of McKinley Avenue, died at 3:00 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mr. Werntz worked at Como Plastics retiring in 1988 after 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, yard work, camping and spending time with his grandson, family and his little dog Lucky.
Family and friends may call from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street. Private burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. No funeral service is planned.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana or Easter Seals of Bartholomew County.

Born in Connersville July 9, 1935, Mr. Werntz was the son of George and Nellie Shube Werntz; he married Lottie Wren January 7, 1958.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Linda (Phillip) Galbraith of Columbus; a grandson, Tyler E. Galbraith of Columbus; sisters-in-law, Doris Blunk of New Albany, Laura Bishop of Valparaiso and Martha Trusty of Indianapolis and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Mr. Werntz was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Sarah Wren; sisters-in-law, Freda, Gladys and Stella Wren; brothers-in-law, George, Jim and Earl Wren and brothers, Frank, Jerry and Charles Hood.
