| | | Harold Dean McFarlane, 56, of Jewell Street, died Saturday, June 9, 2012, at 3:45 p.m. at Kindred Transitional Care of Columbus.
He was a self-employed mechanic and enjoyed fishing and working on cars.
The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Glenn Poynter officiating.
Family and friends may call Tuesday from 3 p.m. until time of service.
Cremation will take place following the service.

Born in Columbus, February 16, 1956, Mr. McFarlane was the son of Tyler and Delores Mathis McFarlane. He married Doris J. Stillabower on March 20, 1990.
Survivors include his wife; children Chris (Ranae) Grider, Andy (Natalie) Grider and Brandon McFarlane, all of Columbus; a brother, Tyler "Woody" McFarlane of Taylorsville; sisters, Bonnie Selig of North Vernon and Debbie (Jeff) Bailey of Taylorsville; grandchildren, Alexis Grider, Tianna Grider, Jakob Grider and Lacey McFarlane; and his dog, "Spike."
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
