Katherine I. Beck, 79, of Sprague Road, formerly of Indianapolis, died at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mrs. Beck was a clerk at JCPenney and Block’s Department Stores in Indianapolis for many years.
In keeping with her wishes, no funeral or calling are planned. Private inurnment will be at Concordia Cemetery in Indianapolis.

Born in Kokomo Sept. 4, 1926, Mrs. Beck was the daughter of Russell and Lily Ridenour Miller.
She is survived by a son, Terry E. Beck of Columbus; a daughter, Connie Corbett of Redondo Beach, Calif.; a grandson, Frank A. (Jessica) Beck of Elizabethtown; and a great-grandchild, Casey A. Beck of Elizabethtown.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank C. Beck; a daughter-in-law, Patricia A. Beck; brothers, Marion, Don and Gene Miller; and a sister, Evelyn Allen.
