Carol S. Barmore, 55, of 28th Street died at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, 2005, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility at Columbus.

Mrs. Barmore was a member of Hope Community Church and had formerly worked as a cashier at the Big Foot Convenience Store.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street, with the Revs. Gerald Hancock and Virl Murray officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to service time Wednesday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Carol S. Barmore Fund through the funeral home.

Mrs. Barmore was born Nov. 7, 1949, in Columbia, Ky., the daughter of John J. and Otella M. Woodall Patton.

Survivors include her mother, of Edinburgh; a son, John P. Larsen of Columbus; a brother, Bob (Stella) Patton of Indianapolis; sisters, Jane (Gary) Leonard of Elizabethtown and Eulia (Glen) Whitis of Somerset, Ky.; six nieces; and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Robert Patton; a niece, Teresa Miller; and great–nephews, Shawn and Bryan Miller.
