Rev. Clifford S. Anglin, 80, of Chapel Drive died at 11:57 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Rev. Anglin attended Lexington Baptist College and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He was a retired Southern Baptist minister serving the ministry for 50 years and starting approximately 15 churches.

He was mission chairman of South Central Baptist Association and was a missionary with the Home Mission Board.

He was a longtime real estate investor in the Columbus area and a member of Parkside Baptist Church, St. John’s Masonic Lodge, Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite and Columbus Chapter of Order of Eastern Star.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Dr. W.E. Bailey and Revs. Odis Weaver, D.G. Morris and Bro. Richard Vogsberger officiating. A Masonic memorial service will be conducted by St. John’s Masonic Lodge at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Calling will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday and noon until service time Monday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Born on July 29, 1925, in Lancaster, Ky., Rev. Anglin was the son of Denny and Frances “Fannie” Ward Anglin. He married Dorothy M. Grounds on April 24, 1954, in Indianapolis.

Survivors include daughters, Diana (Fred) Murphy and Loretta (Mark) Fish, both of Columbus; grandchildren Jennifer (Rob) Masoni of Franklin, Bryan Fish and Stephanie, Bethanie and Caitlin Murphy, all of Columbus; great-granddaughter, Laura Masoni; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife on Dec. 3, 2005; sisters, Ruby Long and Ruth Louise Anglin; brother, Clarence Anglin; and two infant brothers.
