| | | Warren D. "Yogi" Baldwin, 52, of North Vernon died at 8:08 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2006, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
A former diesel mechanic at Roberts & Ogle Trucking in Columbus, Mr. Baldwin had worked since 1993 as a technical support specialist at Cummins Inc. where he was a photographer. He was troop master of Boy Scout Troop 518 Four Corners at Hayden and was a member of Order of the Arrow.
He also was a member of Office Committee Union through Cummins Inc. and Brown's Corner Chapel in Scipio. He enjoyed photography, fishing, camping, muzzleloader shooting, flying radio-controlled airplanes, go-kart racing and NHRA drag racing.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Mark Hammel officiating. Calling will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 1 p.m. until service time Monday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Foundation for Pulmonary Fibrosis Research or Boy Scout Troop 518.

Mr. Baldwin was born in Columbus Feb. 28, 1954, the son of William A. and Lora J. Lucas Baldwin. He married Cheryl Kelly Dec. 27, 1975, in Newbern.
Survivors include his wife; sons, William A. (Traci) Baldwin and Jonathan I. Baldwin, both of North Vernon; grandchildren, Trenton and Elisabeth Baldwin, both of North Vernon; sisters, Wanda Kay Dewar and Shirley (Larry Sr.) Graham, both of North Vernon, and Nancy Copley of Connersville; a brother, Kenneth (Zina) Baldwin of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law, Daniel Dewar; and an infant brother.
