| | | Raymond O. Bass, 74, of North Hughes Street died at 1:20 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2006, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mr. Bass was born in Monticello, Ky., May 2, 1932, the son of Bram and Icie Bass. He married Margaret Bell on Jan. 3, 1956.
He retired from Ball Corp. where he had worked for 22 years. Mr. Bass was a member of The United Pentecostal Church of Columbus.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at The United Pentecostal Church of Columbus, 2264 Illinois Ave., with the Revs. Brian Smithson and Timothy Gill officiating. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church and 9 a.m. to time of service Tuesday at the church.
Arrangements were made by Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Jimmy (Susie) Bass of Little Rock, Ark., Jack (Michelle) Bass of Columbus and Nathan (Christy) Bass of Columbus; daughters, Patricia (Shawn) Seeman and Linda (Scott) Berzyk, both of Minnesota, Brenda (Dwayne) Smith of Indianapolis and Peggy (Joe) Brewer of Medora; brothers, Melvin Bass of Muncie and Ralph (Betty) Bass of Glasgow; sisters, Ruby (Hershel) Guffey of Indianapolis and Jewell (Junior) Guffey of Monticello, Ky.; and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Opal Lee; and a brother, James Ray Bass.
