| | | Phillip J. Jackson, 45, of Columbus died Saturday, December 30, 2006, at 11:38 a.m. at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Phillip was co-owner of CASE Construction Inc. and was coach of the Columbus Crunch girls fast pitch softball team and former coach of the Columbus East High School girls fast pitch soft ball team.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Community Church of Columbus, 3850 N. Marr Road, with Chuck Coleman and Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Calling will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church and 9:30 a.m. to time of service at the church. Burial will be at Flatrock Baptist Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Phillip Jackson girls fast pitch softball memorial fund or Columbus Regional Hospital Foundation through the funeral home.

Phillip was born in Terre Haute October 3, 1961, the son of Don R. and Linda J. Fightmaster Jackson.
He married Teri R. Murphy on September 17, 1983.
Survivors include his parents; wife; children, Micah Bleu and Sydnee Jackson, both of Columbus; sisters, Pam (Jeff) Wallace and Lori (Brian) Pelley, both of Columbus; and a brother, Robert (Cathy) Jackson of Elizabethtown.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Jean Jackson and Al and Doris Fightmaster.
