| | | Mark Quinton Baker, 46, of Boulder Court died at 10:45 a.m. Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mr. Baker was educated at Stepping Stones, worked at Developmental Services Inc. and was a former employee of Red Lobster. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and attended Friendship Bible Study at First Lutheran Church.
He participated in bowling and swimming in the Special Olympics and was an avid Bobby Knight and IU basketball fan. He loved music, was an avid reader of The Republic and enjoyed professional wrestling.
He will be missed by his special friend and dog, Rusty.
A celebration of life and love with music and thanksgiving will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Brian Campbell officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from noon until service time Thursday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to ARC of Bartholomew County, Friendship Bible Study at First Lutheran Church or Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Born in Columbus May 15, 1960, Mr. Baker was the son of Benjamin A. and Georgeanna Maddock Baker.
He is survived by his mother, Georgeanna Baker of Columbus; sisters, Bennita (John) Kennedy and Belinda Graber, both of Columbus; a niece, Natalie Kennedy; nephews, Paul Kennedy and Chris Graber; and an uncle and aunt, Charles and Kay Maddock of Frankfort.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ben Baker; and grandparents, William and Harriett Baker and Charles and Elsie Maddock.
