|Sean and Jeremy, My deepest and sincerest sympathy to you and your families. As you know, your father was my doctor and also my friend. I wish that I had the chance to express to him how his compassion and excellent medical care has helped me so much over so many years. He is deeply and sadly missed by so many. If there is anything I can do to help your family please do not hesitate to ask me. Again, my thoughts and sympathy to you both, and to your families. ~Brian Murphy|

|We met Dr. Herrberg when he opened up his practice in Columbus in 1974 and we knew we wanted him for our doctor. He was more of a friend than a doctor to us and was there whenever we needed him even if it was just to lend an ear to listen to us talk or cry. He will be greatly missed by all.
My thoughts and prayers go to the family.

|My husband, Bill,(dec) was priviledged to be the very first patient for Jerry, back in 1974. Jerry started out with Dr. Macy,(dec) another long time physician in Columbus.
Valerie and Patty always knew to block out extra time when we came in the office,to see him. We shared many of his proud moments of his sons, Jeremy and Sean.
Jerry shared with us pictures of the time he went in the Lion's area at the Animal Rescue Center. That was a special time in his life, although in retrospect, he was not too happy with himself, letting a full grown lion jump on him.
Jerry enjoyed tennis so much, and would let us know how he was doing with his games.
As I in turn became his patient, we shared many tears of joy and despair, throughout our many medical problems. He and his staff, were so kind when Bill finally had to go to a Nursing Home.
Jer, I'll never forget you, and I know you are free from pain from now on....
My deepest condolences to his family, Valerie, and Patty..... Margo Hughey

|My wife, Carrie and I have been BLESSED by the privialge of even meeting Jerry. He was our FRIEND FIRST, then our "doc". So loving called on appointments. Jerry and I dealt with His trees falling over, His cabinets in His office falling down, just talking. HE ALWAYS LISTENED, NEVER JUDGED. When Carrie and I were Told by sweet Valerie, that Jerry was very sick, I cried and knew I was about to lose a very close and DEAR FRIEND. I feel some of what His family feels, I lost my Dad, Jerry was there for me. To His family, I am praying for you all, and you have my upmost respect for such a GREAT MAN. There is No Replacement for you my friend, Jerry.
Love and prayers to you all, Amos and Carrie King

| I am deeply saddened to hear of Jerome's passing on to the next stage of life. I knew Jerome from High school along with Bernita. I always had a very high respect for Jerome in school he was " good guy" as I am sure he was all during his life. He used his life to help others and that is just exactly what I would have expected out of the High school kid I knew many years ago.
