Each obituary also offers you the opportunity to leave an on-line memorial. So if you are unable to physically attend the visitation or funeral service, you can still express your personal condolences.

Betty Jane Perkins, 85, of Chapa Drive, died at 9:50 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, at the Silver Oaks Health Campus. The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Lane Loman officiating. Calling will be from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday. Burial will be at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana. Mrs. Perkins is survived by a brother, Ted (Pauline) Stoehr of Connersville; and a sister, Violet (Lawrence) Wamsley of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Hurley; and her second husband, Gene G. Perkins.
