| | | Lucille Hopkins, 96, of Elizabethtown, died at 7:29 a.m. Sunday, November 1, 2009, at her home.
Mrs. Hopkins was a farm wife and homemaker and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She was very dedicated to her family and enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers, baking and cooking.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Robert E. Lay officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 12:30 p.m. until service time Wednesday. Burial will be at Bear Creek Baptist Cemetery in Jennings County.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh Baptist Church or Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Born in Jennings County March 26, 1913, Mrs. Hopkins was the daughter of Arlie and Blanche Jenkins Tomlinson. She married Ralph W. Hopkins December 24, 1926. He preceded her in death March 19, 1989.
Survivors include her daughters, Joyce Bolton of Columbus and Lucinda "Cindy" Hopkins of Elizabethtown; grandchildren, Reta Bolton of Indianapolis, Ralph (Robin) Bolton and Rex Bolton, both of Elizabethtown, Destiny Brock of Carmel and Levi (Christy) Brock of Noblesville; great-grandchildren, Casey, Olivia and Glenda Bolton, Abbey Cassidy and Ian and Garrett Brock; great-great-grandchildren, Aiden and Clayton Miller; a brother, George Tomlinson of Westport; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hopkins was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Robert Joe Hopkins; brothers, Ottis and John Tomlinson; and a son-in-law, Forrest Bolton.
