|Julius W. Easton, 73 of Maple Street , died Friday, August 10, 2012 at 2:10am at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Julius retired from Cummins Engine Company, while working at Cummins he held the janitorial contract for the Chamber of Commerce and the Visitors Center and was formerly employed at Atterbury Job Corp and NTN.
He enjoyed bowling, playing softball, volleyball and cards, especially euchre. JW was also a former girl's softball and volleyball coach.
Family and friends may call from 11am to 12:30pm, Thursday, August, 16, 2012 at Bible Church of Columbus, burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery with Jerry K. Day Sr. and Gloria J. Randolph officiating.
Arrangements were made by Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home.

He was born in North Vernon on July 6, 1939 the son of Elmer and Frances Johnson Easton.
Survivors include his daughters Kimberly and Kelly Easton, grandchildren Lake Whitehead, Andrew and Keagan Easton all of Columbus, brothers Michael Easton of SC, Elmer Easton and Curtis
Wright both of Indianapolis, sisters Laura Mae Edmonds of NY, Wilmalene Nixon of CA, Dianne Thompson of Indianapolis, Mary Frances White and Betty Brown both of Shelbyville, Stella Easton and step-sister Andreietta "Dottie" Grant both of OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Monica Denise Easton, sisters Patricia King, Julia Edmonds, Florence Tardy, Dora Barlowe and brothers Charles Easton and William Berry.
