Stella “Kay” Bohnert age 95 of Jasper passed away at 3:10 A.M. Saturday December 22, 2007 at Brookside Village Nursing Center in Jasper. She was born April 16, 1912 at Vincennes to: Michael and Odelia (Reinbold) Kaiser.
She married Vincent “Fat” Bohnert April 20, 1937. He passed away June 1, 1995.
Memberships include: St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Ann’s Society, D of I Sodality, and she was a past Volunteer at Jasper Memorial Hospital.
She was devoted to her family and was a most devoted wife , mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She enjoyed quilting, sewing and traveling with her husband and cooking for her family and friends.
Surviving: 4 daughters- Gloria Hayes of Indianapolis, Janet Bohnert of Jasper, Barbara Bohnert of Louisville, and Dr. Peg Bohnert of Buffalo NY
1 son-Dr. Michael Bohnert of Boston Massachusetts.

Preceded in death besides her husband are 9 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Becher & Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. There will be a Rosary at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home by St. Joseph Parish, St. Ann’s Society, and the D of I Sodality.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday December 27, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic church in Jasper with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.
