Maurice H. Beckman age 86 of St. Anthony, Indiana died at 2:17 p.m. Sunday (March 23, 2008) in the Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
He was born at Celestine, Indiana on November 18, 1921 to Anthony Sr. and Clara (Brames) Beckman he married Lillian Roos on November 26, 1953 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.
Maurice Beckman a WWII Army Veteran served his country as a tank driver for the 3rd Armored Division.
Maurice Beckman was a lifelong farmer who loved gardening and maintaining his fruit orchard. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing cards
He was a member of the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and Holy Name Society American Legion Post # 147 Jasper Knight of Columbus St. Anthony Senior Citizens and the St. Anthony Community Center.
Surviving is his wife Lillian, 54 years of marriage.

Funeral services for Maurice Beckman will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday (March 26, 2008) in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Anthony Cemetery. American Legion Post # 147 will conduct Military Grave Side Rites.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday (March 25, 2008) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
Rosary will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday by members of St. Anthony of Padua Parish.
