Edward J. Rickelhoff age 76 of Jasper died at 10:58 p.m. Thursday (July 31, 2008) in the Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born on February 20, 1932 at Ferdinand to Edwin and Caroline (Miller) Rickelhoff. Married to
Lucille King on December 14, 1974.

Edward is a Korean Army Veteran and retired from the Drake Corporation and also worked for DMI Furniture Company in Huntingburg and after retirement worked for Sears in Jasper.

He is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church – VFW Post # 673 Life member – American Legion Post # 147, Jasper Outdoor Recreation and North American Hunting Club, life member.

Surviving is his wife Lucille
1 daughter, Mrs. Arlan (Janice) Russell, State of Washington
2 step-daughters,
Judith Kemp, Jasper, IN
Mrs. William (Cheryl) Cole, Dubois, IN
2 step-sons,
James Gardner, Jasper, In
Gail Gardner, Winslow, IN
2 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 6 step great grandchildren
1 sister, Shirley Bryant, Dale, IN

Preceding him in death besides his parents is 1 sister Gladys Ballach.

Funeral services for Edward Rickelhoff will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday (August 4, 2008) in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery, V.F.W. Post # 673 in Jasper will conduct Military Grave Side Rites.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to the Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center in Jasper.
