Wilfred H. Wibbels, age 78 of St. Anthony, Indiana died at 1:25 p.m. Saturday (July 3, 2010) in the Scenic Hills Nursing Center in Ferdinand, Indiana.
He was born at St. Anthony, Indiana on August 16, 1931 to Herbert and Mathilda (Wagner) Wibbels.
He was a Korean War Veteran and served in Germany.
Wilfred retired from the Jasper Rubber Products Company in Jasper where he worked many years
He is a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church – Life member of V.F.W. Post # 673, Life member of the American Legion Post 493 St. Anthony also 40 & 8, St. Anthony Senior Citizens and the St. Anthony Community Center.
Surviving is one Aunt, Marcella Bromm, St. Anthony, IN
1 Uncle, Arthur Wibbels, St. Anthony, IN
Preceding him in death besides his parents is 1 brother Herbert Wibbels Jr. who died in infancy.
Funeral services for Wilfred H. Wibbels will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday July 7, 2010 in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. St. Anthony American Legion Post 493 will conduct military grave side rites.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday (July 6, 2010) at the Becher & Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Japer and one hour before services at church.
Memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. by the 40 & 8.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony Cemetery Fund.
