Sharon Atkins age 74 of Jasper passed away at 5:45 P.M. Sunday January 9, 2011 at the Northwood Good Samaritan Retirement Community in Jasper. She was born January 6, 1937 at Booneville In. to Earl and Helen (Maas) Morris
She married Jesse Atkins January 22, 1983. He passed away December 8, 2007.
She worked at Memorial Hospital –retired.
In 1995 she was the first recipient of the Little Company of Mary Award.
Surviving: 4 sons –Glenn, Mark, Paul and Scott Humbert all of Jasper
2 daughters-Mrs. Phil Michelle Lueken of Jasper, and Mrs. Bert Melanie Bushkoetter of Jasper.
1 Brother-John Kerkhoff of New Boston IN.
1 Sister-Evelyn Montgomery of Salisbury NC.
9 Grandchildren
3 Great Grandchildren
Preceded in death besides her husband 1 son Kenneth Humbert, and 1 grandson Joseph Humbert, and 2 brothers-William Morris, and Louis Wendholt
Visitation will be held from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Becher & Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday January 13, 2011 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.
