| | | Fern M. Baerwald, born November 20, 1921, the daughter of the late Ben and Mabel (Sawall) Krueger. She was united in marriage to George Baerwald on June 1, 1941. He preceded her in death.
They lived in Seymour and had owned and operated the Gambel’s Hardware Store. Later they moved to Milwaukee and Waukesha, where they owned and operated ice cream stores. They later returned to the Green Bay area in 1968, where they repaired homes to rent.
She is survived by her sisters-in-law: Joan Krueger, Appleton, Dorothy Krueger, Green Bay, Helen Baerwald, Dale; several nieces and nephews.
Fern was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; and two brothers, Grant and Owen.
The celebration of Fern’s life will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, 358 S. Main Street, Seymour, from 10 AM until funeral services at 11 AM with Fr. Richard Mauthe officiating. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
