| | | Florence L. Dixson, 95, formerly of Loudonville, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at Albany Memorial Hospital, Albany. She was the widow of Monroe P. Dixson.
Mrs. Dixson was born in Brooklyn, she the daughter of the late William and Helma Pedersen. She was a graduate of South New Berlin High School, South New Berlin, NY,
Mrs. Dixson worked as a Special Education Aid in Edmeston, NY, during the 1930's. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Colonie Lodge of Elks.
Survivors include her daughter, Lorraine M. (Ivor) Preiss of Latham, her son, Richard M.(Diane) Dixson, of Silverdale, WA, two grandchildren, Bradley S. Preiss of Fairfax City, VA, and Michelle L.(David) Dischiavo of Latham and five great grandchildren.
Funeral service 11:00 AM Monday, at the Bowen & Parker Bros. Funeral Home, 97 Old
Loudon Road, Latham. Family and Friends are invited and may call on Sunday, October 25, 2009 from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
Interment will in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
